New and Returning Streaming Series This Week: October 2 – October 8, 2022

The first week of October has a handful of new and returning material to stream:

Abominable and the Invisible City (October 5, Hulu/Peacock) – Season 1

If you loved the story of a young girl finding an abominable snowman and helping him find his family, you’ll be thrilled to know that Yi’s goodbye to Everest will not be a final goodbye.

Bling Empire (October 5, Netflix) – Season 3

Another take on reality TV meets Crazy Rick Asians, this series follows a group of wealthy South East and East Asians living it up in Los Angeles.

A Friend of the Family (October 6, Peacock) – Season 1

Based on true events, this mini-series follows the Broberg family, whose friend and neighbor Robert Berchtold repeatedly kidnaps their daughter Jan and turns her against them.

Werewolf by Night (October 7, Disney+) – Special

A group of mysterious monster hunters come together to commemorate their fallen leader only to find themselves in a deadly competition for a powerful relic against a dangerous monster.

The Midnight Club (October 7, Netflix) – Season 6

Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong bring yet another horror story to Netflix with this latest series based on a book of the same name by Christopher Pike. At Brightcliffe Hospice, a group of terminally ill patients gather at midnight to share scary stories.

As a big fan of Abominable, I’m looking forward to this new animated series.

If this isn’t enough TV for you, be sure to check out the New and Returning Broadcast and Cable Series This Week: October 2 – October 8, 2022.
