10 Most Exciting New and Returning Shows in July 2022
July is bringing us a whole slew of new shows on streaming and we can’t wait. Here are the returns and premieres we’re most excited for:
Stranger Things (July 1, Netflix)
The final two episodes of season 4 of this horror series are coming to us in supersized fashion – nearly four hours between them. We’ve learned a great deal about the Upside-Down and how/why El opened a door to it in the first place, now we need to find out if there is a way to close through once and for all.
The Terminal List (July 1, Prime Video)
James Reece (played by Chris Pratt) vows revenge after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs are wiped out when ambushed. But as he investigates what happened, he comes to suspect a greater conspiracy at work. Based on the novel of the same name by Jack Carr.
The Challenge: USA (July 6, Paramount+)
A spin-off of The Challenge, all-stars from Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race and Love Island compete for a chance to advance to The Challenge: Global Championship, which will feature the winners of The Challenge: Argentina, The Challenge: Australia, and The Challenge: U.K., as well as some Challenge Veterans. The winner will be crowned the first-ever Challenge world champion.
Maggie (July 6, Hulu)
Maggie is a psychic. She can see in the futures of others, but not her own. Until one day she catches a glimpse of her own future, thanks to a blind date, making her life even more complicated.
Moonhaven (July 7, AMC+)
Moonhaven is a utopian society built on the moon, tasked with saving a crumbling earth. But when pilot and smuggler Bella Sway is accused of a crime, she is drawn into a conspiracy threatening both Moonhaven and earth.
Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (July 21, Netflix)
In the final season, the kids have finally escaped Isla Nublar and left the dinosaurs behind, only to be betrayed by their own and faced with all new threats.
Blown Away (July 22, Netflix)
Our favorite (and only) glass-blowing challenge is back with ten all new challengers competing for $60,000, an artist residency at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, and the title Best in Glass.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (July 27, Disney+)
The absurd teen dramedy is back for its third season in which our cast heads to summer camp where they will put on a production of Frozen. For anyone missing Glee, this is as close to filling that hole as it comes.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (July 28, HBO Max)
Set within the Pretty Little Liars universe but following a whole new group of girls as they are tormented for something their parents did twenty years earlier as well as their own secrets. Hopefully this series will be longer lasting than the previous two spin-offs from Pretty Little Liars, which each lasted only one season.
Paper Girls (July 29, Prime Video)
A comic book adaptation featuring four teenage paper delivery girls who get caught in a battle between time travelers, sending them on an adventure through time to save the world.
